  I recently bought a premium membership to your site, and glad I did. Thanks for your insight on this latest storm (Jan 17). I live just nw of GSO and had been telling my family, friends and coworkers of the impending snow and wind, and sure enough it happened. I ended up with just under 5 inches of snow (with lightning & thunder), and almost 10000 homes lost power in Guilford County alone, but my family was prepared. My folks had their generator ready, and easily made it through the 14 hours they were without power.
